Cat Parents Is Completed!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your participation in Cat Parents! I'll be sending you all a copy this week. I filmed 17 cat parents and worked hard to fit everyone in the film, while still keeping it under 30 minutes. I hope you all like it. There are still more tweaks/improvements I see that need doing but I don't have much time with grad school so decided to finish it. Also, I originally filmed it in HD but had to convert it to DV format to submit it to IndieFlix.com. So, the HD version is a lot sharper - about 180 gigabytes in size versus only about 7 gigabytes. Hopefully, IndieFlix.com will accept the film. If they do, I'll post a link here on the website. Thanks again for your participation.

Catumentary - Credits Information Needed

Hi Catumentary Cast,

I'm in the process of editing Catumentary. For the credits, it would be helpful to know how you and your kids/cats want to be listed in the credits. I'd love to put everyone's names and everyone's cats' and dogs' names too.

Thanks!

Catumentary: "Cat Parents" needed for film

Hi Everyone,

Thanks again for your interest in being in my doc/catumentary!

Between July 16 and July 29, I’ll be filming. For cat lovers interested in being in the film, please let me know the following:

1. Number of cats and a brief summary of why/how you are an extreme cat lover.
2. Dates/Times available. Filming time should take 1 to 2 hours.
3. Area of Austin where you live, for example, NW, South, Round Rock, etc.

Filming: I will shoot scenes where you are doing your daily activities with your cats – feeding, cuddling, playing, cats doing cute things, your talking about your cats while petting them, unusual things like sleeping in a shoe, riding in the car, playing with a dog, etc. To film in the best environment, it's good to have areas as bright as possible, and things like radios, fans, etc. turned off to avoid background noise.

Pictures: please feel free to send any cute pictures of your cat(s) that you would like included, which illustrate cute things that your cats do, your relationship, etc. If I use any of your pictures in the film, you'll be listed in the photo credits.

Questions: There is a list of questions that I'll be asking you during the filming, which are listed on this blog, about your relationship with your cat(s) as an extreme cat lover or "cat parent".

Release Form: there is a photo release form to sign. It states that I have permission to film you and your cat(s) for a doc/catumentary film, and to distribute it, along with related promotional materials (movie trailer, etc.).

Completion Date: the film should be completed within 4 - 6 months (filming, editing, music soundtrack). I’ll send you a complimentary copy of the DVD when it’s completed. The catumentary be submitted to various channels for distribution – film festivals, Indieflix.com, etc. My dogumentary, DOG PARENTS, is at IndieFlix.com The catumentary should be better, since I have upgraded the equipment.
